Almost 34 weeks!

School has started, Brian had his surgery, and contractions are daily! It has been a busy two weeks. New Trier officially started this week, though I had meetings all last week. I received interesting reactions from the students when I told them that I would be teaching for about a month, on maternity leave for around 12 weeks, and then back with them the rest of the year. Most were excited and asked a lot of questions, but of course there was some anxiety about having a change in the middle of the school year. Hopefully we can find a long term sub soon!

Yesterday Brian had endoscopic sinus surgery. Thankfully he is feeling much better today, though last night was a different story. He struggled to recover from the anesthesia so we spent the night at the hospital. Needless to say it was a rough night. I was very thankful that Brian's parents came down yesterday to bring Brian to hospital while I was at work and stayed with me until he was in the recovery room. I believe it was due to stress, but while in the waiting room I started having numerous contractions.......could you imagine if I really went in labor? Brian's mom and I were joking about Brian waking up and us handing him a baby!
