First two days of summer!

 On our first day of summer vacation we headed to the pool!  Brooklyn really wanted to go down the water slide, but she was so scared.  She watched as other kids went down, and even tried once, but got to the top and started to cry, so Owen and I had to climb up to rescue her.  I saw myself in her, that willingness to try something new, but that fear that builds up in the pit of your stomach.  I told her that I always think that she is brave, and that she doesn't have to go down the slide, but I could tell that she really wanted to.  The next thing I knew she was climbing those steps and went right down!  I was so proud of her!  I completely understand that feeling of overcoming a mental barrier, and she did it!

Owen much preferred the snacks to the water!

In the afternoon we headed to the library and then the park!

 On day 2 of summer, we went on a mission to find the perfect pet rock!  The kids searched all over and picked out their favorites.  We then had to wash the rocks, and of course paint them!!
